If you're an experienced M&E professional looking to move from site-based delivery into managing maintenance contracts across some of London's best-known buildings, this is worth a read.
The Role
Based primarily across Westminster and Chelsea, with one day per week at our head office in Essex, you'll take ownership of M&E maintenance delivery across a portfolio of FM contracts. This isn't a construction project role — it's about keeping buildings running, compliant, and well-maintained for the clients who rely on them day to day. You'll be the person clients trust, engineers respect, and subcontractors answer to.
Day to day
- Managing engineers against planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules across multiple sites
- Coordinating specialist subcontractors for reactive and remedial maintenance works
- Ensuring H&S procedures and statutory compliance are maintained across all contracts
- Acting as the main point of contact for client site managers, maintaining strong working relationships
- Overseeing quality and compliance standards across the maintenance portfolio
- Producing and issuing maintenance progress reports and compliance trackers
- Recording and valuing reactive, remedial, and additional works
What You'll Bring
- A trade apprenticeship background — Mechanical or Electrical (strongly preferred)
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in M&E maintenance or building services, ideally within a facilities management environment
- Strong communication skills — you will be client-facing and need to command a room
- Solid computer literacy and experience managing maintenance reporting and compliance documentation
- Full UK driving licence
What's On Offer
- £60,000 basic salary
- Full company pension
- 28 days annual leave — rising by one extra day for every year you stay
- Travel expenses to site covered
- Work across high-profile Westminster and Chelsea locations
- Long-term FM contracts offering genuine job stability — not project-to-project uncertainty
