We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded pest control company that is looking for a motivated and reliable Proofing Technician to join their specialist bird team, operating across London and the Southeast. This is a hands-on, outdoor role where no two days are the same — you’ll be working at some of London’s most interesting buildings, carrying out bird proofing and cleaning work to a high professional standard. You’ll be part of a close-knit team of five full-time technicians, with the added option to develop abseiling skills alongside two specialist colleagues already working at height. Whether you’re an experienced pest control professional or someone with a background in working at height and a desire to build a long-term trade career, this could be the perfect next step.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing bird-proofing systems (netting, spikes, wire, post and wire, and more) across a variety of commercial and residential sites
- Carrying out bird dropping clean-ups and associated hygiene work
- Working safely at height using access equipment, including MEWPs, ladders, and potentially rope access
- Collaborating with a small, experienced team to deliver quality results on every job
- Representing the business professionally with clients across London and the Southeast

- £35,000 base salary
- Production bonuses — earn up to an additional £3,600 per year based on performance
