Maintenance / Storeman / Delivery Driver in Hampshire

Job Description We are seeking a reliable, practically minded, Driver / Maintenance / stores operative to join our team. This is a highly varied role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for our stores area and the delivery/collection of bathroom and kitchen equipment, as well as handling general maintenance tasks around our showroom. /n The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent customer service, and a solid practical background. /n /n Duties will include: /n /n - Safely load and unload bathroom and kitchen equipment onto and from company vehicles, ensuring all goods are handled with care. /n - Receive all deliveries into the stores and check goods accurately and promptly against delivery documentation. /n - Inspect incoming stock for damage and verify quantities, reporting any discrepancies immediately. /n - Print purchase orders and stock labels as required. /n - Store and organize all deliveries neatly in their designated bays, ensuring correct labelling and efficient stock placement. /n - Conduct weekly stock control checks to verify stock levels and ensure accurate and timely re-ordering. /n - Assist with the annual stock take. /n - Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently. /n - Carry out general stores duties, including maintaining a clean and tidy stores area and car park. /n - Manage on-site skips, ensuring waste is disposed of correctly to maximize recycling. Arrange skip collections when required. /n - Complete customer deliveries, collect rubbish where necessary, and empty the van upon return to the showroom. /n - Occasionally assist fitters on site (no plumbing work required). /n - Unlock and secure the stores and car park as required. /n - Maintain showroom displays/general maintenance. /n - Maintain cleanliness and organization within the stores and stores office at all times. /n - Ensure company vans are kept clean and washed as required. /n - Complete weekly vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly. /n - Undertake any other reasonable duties as required from time to time. /n /n Requirements /n /n - Previous experience in a similar role is desirable. /n - A full, valid driving license is required. /n - Must be willing and physically able to carry out manual handling duties, as packages vary in size and weight. /n - Competent in basic computer use. /n - Able to work effectively as part of a team. /n - Well organized, methodical, and capable of working independently using own initiative. /n /n /n Job Details /n /n - Permanent Full Time /n - Monday -Friday 8.30am – 5pm /n - Holiday – 23 Days per annum plus bank holidays /n - We are closed between Christmas and New Year. A portion of your annual holiday entitlement must be used during the Christmas period, as the company is closed between Christmas and New Year. /n - Free Parking on site /n - Competitive Salary /n /n
