We’re inviting applications for a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to join our team in Leeds. Our northern Transport planning team are a long-established and stable team working on some of the most significant and exciting development projects across the North.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Technical: Prepare Transport Statements and Assessments, Travel Plans, and transport chapters of Environmental Statements.
- Lead Projects: Manage various tasks and projects and ensure effective communication with the team.
- Client Engagement: Represent the company at meetings with clients, planners, architects, and contractors.
- Design Development: Provide input to site access designs and masterplans, considering all modes of transport.
- Quality Management: Follow the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) processes on all projects.
- Resource Management: Manage project resources efficiently.
- Training and Development: Provide technical support and training to Transport Planners and Graduates.
We’re looking for a motivated self-starter who’s eager to get involved — someone who will actively engage with our wider Leeds office teams, contribute to a collaborative working culture, and represent us at industry events and networking opportunities.
The ideal person will:
- Hold a relevant degree (or equivalent) and be actively working towards a professional qualification.
- Have significant experience as a Transport planner, ideally in a similar consultancy environment.
- Be comfortable managing multiple client expectations and contributing to project meetings.
- Be commercially aware and have some understanding of project finances.
- Be numerate, able to analyse datasets and use junction modelling software such as JUNCTIONS and LinSig (or equivalent).
- Have an appreciation of current design standards, be able to lead design reviews and undertake basic design work using AutoCAD (or Equivalent).
