The Role

Manage graphic design proposals from typesetting through to design, print and production. Brief and advise on design style, format, print production and timescales. Develop concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites. Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and font style and size. Prepare rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief. Review layouts and suggest improvements. Liaise with external printers regularly to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality. Leads the design of graphics, visualisations and written documents suited to particular audiences and purposes. Produces high-quality artwork appropriate for different media and technological constraints. Leads and is responsible for all photography and videography requirements of the institution.

Qualification and Experience

Minimum of a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design or similar qualification. A First Degree will be an advantage. Good knowledge of Web Designing, Photography and Videography. Good knowledge of industry standard design software, such as InDesign or Illustrator, plus photo editing, including Photoshop. Familiarity with online publication and web technologies (e.g., HTML + CSS).
