Job Description

Logistics Manager | Near Cranbrook | £40k – £50k

This Kent business provides materials to the construction, landscaping and agricultural sectors. They’re looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to join the team, reporting to the Group Transport Manager.

The Job…

You’ll be responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating supply chain operations and for the efficient management of the entire logistic process.

  • Optimise logistics procedures, making use of the transportation management systems
  • Manage the logistics process, ensuring timely delivery of goods and excellent levels of customer service.
  • Ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness, optimising supply chain operations
  • Implement and maintain systems for stock control
  • Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to streamline logistics processes
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Be the first point of contact for any site issues including delayed ETAs, communicating this with the Sales Account Managers

Experience

  • Proven experience in logistics management roles
  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes and best practices
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management is advantageous
