A top-tier international disputes firm is looking to add an ambitious Associate to its highly regarded Insurance Disputes team in London.
The team is recognised as one of the leading policyholder practices in the market and acts for a mixture of FTSE 100/250 companies, major financial institutions, global brokers and leading professional services firms.
The work is complex, high-value and genuinely international, with lawyers regularly involved in some of the market’s most significant insurance disputes.
The successful candidate will gain exposure across a broad range of contentious insurance matters, with a particular focus on coverage disputes, alongside professional negligence, contentious regulatory work and advisory matters.
The Opportunity
- Work on high-value insurance disputes across multiple classes of business, including property damage & business interruption, D&O, cyber, W&I, political risk, construction and liability.
- Act for major corporate policyholders, insurers and brokers across sectors including energy, real estate and financial services.
- Gain exposure to High Court and appellate litigation involving some of the largest insurance claims in the market.
- Handle significant professional negligence claims, particularly involving solicitors and insurance brokers.
- Develop strong client relationships and take meaningful responsibility for matters from an early stage.
- Work alongside leading practitioners within a team consistently recognised at the top of the market for insurance litigation and policyholder disputes.
- The Ideal Candidate
- The team is seeking a 2–6 PQE lawyer with solid experience in contentious insurance, insurance litigation or a closely related disputes practice.
- Candidates should have strong technical and drafting skills, commercial awareness and the ability to take ownership of matters and develop client relationships.
