A highly regarded international law firm is seeking a talented Contentious Construction lawyer(5+ years’ PQE) to join as Senior Associate or Legal Director in its market leading construction disputes practice.
The Team
The highly ranked contentious construction group is widely recognised for its strategic, technically strong, and commercially focused approach to dispute resolution. Acting for a diverse client base that includes leading contractors, insurers, engineers, developers, and major industry stakeholders, the team advises on the most challenging and high-profile disputes in the market.
Lawyers in the team benefit from close collaboration with colleagues across international offices, providing exposure to sophisticated cross-border matters and multi-jurisdictional disputes.
The team’s work spans the full spectrum of construction and engineering disputes, including complex international arbitrations, adjudications, and litigation. Matters frequently involve technical, contractual, and strategic issues at the highest level, offering associates the chance to develop significant responsibility and client contact early in their careers.
The Role
The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative group, working on a mix of domestic and international matters. Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting on high-value and complex international arbitrations and litigation
- Advising on adjudications and other dispute resolution mechanisms
- Supporting clients through all stages of contentious construction matters, from pre-dispute strategy through to hearings and enforcement
- Working closely with partners and senior associates on cross-border disputes
- Engaging directly with clients, experts, and counsel on technically complex issues
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in contentious construction
- Have solid experience in arbitration, adjudication, and/or litigation
- Demonstrate strong drafting, analytical, and case management skills
- Be commercially minded with excellent client-facing ability
- Thrive in a collaborative, international environment and be keen to develop a long-term career in contentious construction
