An elite international law firm is seeking an England & Wales qualified lawyer at the 2+ PQE level to join its market-leading London disputes team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a top-tier contentious practice, advising on complex, high-value and strategically critical disputes with a strong international dimension.
The successful candidate will join a premier disputes group handling a broad mix of commercial litigation, international arbitration and cross-border disputes. The practice acts for major corporates, financial institutions, funds, sovereign states and multinational organisations across a wide range of industries.
The role will involve:
- High-value commercial litigation before the English courts, including the High Court and Court of Appeal
- International arbitration under leading institutional and ad hoc rules (including ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL and investor-state frameworks)
- Multi-jurisdictional disputes involving complex conflict-of-laws, enforcement and asset-tracing issues
- Advisory work on dispute strategy, risk management and pre-action conduct
- Close collaboration with international offices on global litigation and arbitration mandates
Associates are given early responsibility, exposure to complex procedural and substantive issues, and the opportunity to work directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
The firm is looking for a high-calibre disputes lawyer with:
- Qualification as a solicitor of England & Wales
- A minimum of 2 yearsβ post-qualification experience in commercial disputes, litigation and/or international arbitration
- Strong technical knowledge of civil procedure, evidence and dispute resolution strategy
- Excellent drafting skills across pleadings, submissions and written advocacy
- Commercial awareness, intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to complex contentious matters
- Experience gained within a top-tier City, Magic Circle or leading international disputes practice will be particularly attractive.
