At Currys we’re united by one passion: to help everyone enjoy amazing technology. As the UK’s best-known retailer of tech, we’re proud of the service our customers receive – and it’s all down to our team of 25,000 caring and committed colleagues. Working as one team, we learn and grow together, celebrating the big and small moments that make every day amazing.

You’ll be part of our Talent Acquisition team, sitting within the wider People, Comms and Sustainability function. We find, attract and hire the best talent for Currys – working at pace across different parts of the business to connect the right people with the right roles. As a Specialist, you’ll be part of a shared pool, working within a clear framework that gives you a core business area and the flexibility to support other areas when the business needs it. It’s a role that gives you real breadth – and the variety to grow your recruitment expertise quickly.

You’ll be part of a close-knit team of Specialists, all reporting into the Planning and Partnership Manager who coordinates where your time and skills are best deployed across the business. Day-to-day you’ll work closely with the Business Partners in your core area, supporting their delivery and building strong relationships with the hiring managers they look after. When demand shifts, you’ll flex into other areas – always with clear direction on what’s needed and what success looks like.

Role overview:
  • Manage a portfolio of roles end-to-end — from brief to offer — working at pace and keeping quality high across everything you do. This will mainly focus on technology (e.g. AI, Data, Product) alongside other areas pending volume.
  • Source and attract talent directly through job boards, social media, professional networks and direct outreach, building pipelines that support both immediate hiring needs and the longer-term talent strategies of the Business Partners you work with.
  • Screen candidates thoroughly — reviewing CVs, running structured interviews and managing pre-assessment requirements — making sure only the right people move forward.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers in your primary business area, developing a genuine understanding of their teams and what they need.
  • Flex into other business areas when demand requires, bringing the same energy and standard of delivery wherever you work.
  • Support Business Partners on more senior and complex briefs — contributing to sourcing, market mapping and pipeline development when needed.
  • Champion inclusion and diversity throughout the process, proactively seeking diverse talent and making sure every candidate has a fair and positive experience.
You will need:
  • Proven experience in a Talent Acquisition role, with a track record of managing multiple roles at pace without compromising on quality.
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting across a broad array of Tech roles (e.g. Engineering, Data, AI, Product, Change Management) and understanding the technology behind the roles you are hiring for.
  • Strong direct sourcing skills and confident finding great people across a range of channels without relying on agencies. Must be able to demonstrate their sourcing ability for technical roles and feel comfortable talking about technology to both candidates and the business.
  • Great relationship‑building skills, with the ability to get up to speed quickly in new business areas and build trust with hiring managers fast.
  • A delivery focused mindset. You are organised, resilient and motivated by hitting targets and keeping things moving.
  • Adaptability: comfortable switching between business areas and priorities and responding positively when plans change.
  • A genuine passion for candidate experience, making sure every person you work with feels valued and well looked after.
  • Curiosity about AI and technology, and an enthusiasm for finding smarter ways to source, engage and assess talent.
