Role Overview

Senior Designer – London – Permanent – Full Time – Grade 4 within iD Mobile, a leading mobile virtual network operator and part of Currys PLC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative campaign concepts and creative strategies that align with iD Mobile's brand positioning and business objectives.
  • Design compelling creative assets across all digital channels (social media, web, email, display advertising) and print materials (store point of sale, direct mail, in-store collateral).
  • Leverage AI software and tools to enhance creative output, improve workflow efficiency and explore new creative possibilities.
  • Maintain and enforce strict brand guidelines while identifying opportunities for creative innovation within brand parameters.
  • Create and document brand guidelines and campaign-specific creative standards for internal teams and external partners.
  • Present creative concepts and design rationale to senior stakeholders and clients, effectively selling ideas and articulating design decisions.
  • Manage feedback constructively, incorporating stakeholder input while maintaining design integrity and providing expert creative guidance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and retail operations, while also working independently to deliver projects on time and to brief.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in a senior design role within an agency, in-house creative team, or similar environment.
  • Proven experience working in the retail industry or consumer-facing brands (highly advantageous).
  • Exceptional conceptual thinking and ideation skills with a portfolio demonstrating strong campaign concepts.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using AI-powered creative tools (e.g., Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, Runway) to enhance creativity and efficiency.
  • Extensive experience working within and maintaining strict brand guidelines, with proven ability to balance creativity and brand compliance.
  • Track record of creating comprehensive brand guidelines and campaign toolkits for internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with experience presenting to and managing senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Strong collaborative mindset with proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficient in motion graphics and video editing (After Effects, Premiere Pro, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of print production processes and specifications.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of digital design tools (Figma, Sketch, or similar).
  • Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
