  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across Customer & Marketing, Online, Operations, Commercial, Finance, Technology, and external partners to shape and deliver improvements.
  • Technical & Compliance Management: Manage iOS and Android releases, monitor app stability and performance, and ensure journeys meet regulatory, Consumer Duty, and accessibility requirements.
  • Customer-Centric Advocacy: Champion the customer perspective in decision-making, keeping app journeys simple, effective, and focused on user needs (no line management responsibilities).

You will need:

  • Experience in digital product, product owner, business analysis, or similar roles.
  • Experience working with backlogs, user stories, requirements, and delivery teams.
  • Good understanding of customer needs, app journeys, and what makes a good self-service experience.
  • Comfortable using customer insight, product data, and performance metrics to make decisions and prioritise effectively.
  • Good communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to work well with a wide range of technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience working in agile delivery teams and supporting digital product changes from idea through to launch.
  • Experience in mobile telecommunications or other subscription businesses is preferred, but not essential.

How to prepare for a job interview at Currys

Understand the Product Life Cycle

As a product management candidate, we need to get our head around the complete product life cycle. Be prepared to discuss real-world examples of how you’ve managed product development from ideation to launch. Bring specific insights on tools like JIRA or Trello that can help streamline these processes.

Showcase Your Cross-Functional Skills

Product management is all about collaboration. We should be ready to highlight how we’ve worked across teams—think marketing, engineering, and design. Prepare to discuss scenarios where you had to mediate differing opinions and how you got everyone on board with a shared vision.

Prepare for Case Studies

In a full-time role, we can expect to encounter case study questions during our interviews. Practise solving hypothetical product problems on the spot, such as prioritising features for a new app or improving user engagement metrics. This will show our analytical thinking and decision-making skills.

Know Your Metrics

Let’s face it, numbers are our best friends in product management. We should prepare to discuss key performance indicators (KPIs) and how we've used analytics to inform product decisions. Dive into examples where data has driven our strategy for improvements or justified product changes.
