As the UK’s best-known retailer of tech, we’re proud of the service our customers receive – and it’s all down to our team of 25,000 caring and committed colleagues. Working as one team, we learn and grow together, celebrating the big and small moments that make every day amazing.

We are on a mission to create the best Connected Customer experience there is, and we need strong Senior Product Owners to help us. In this role you'll lead and shape the personalisation product strategy and roadmap across our digital and connected customer experiences, using customer insight, behavioural data and experimentation to create more relevant journeys that drive conversion, engagement and long-term customer value. Sitting within our Customer domain, bringing personalisation together with loyalty, account and engagement, and monetisation under one vision: every customer known, every visit earned, every connection worth more. Personalisation is where you will start, and as our customer data and audience capabilities mature, there is real scope to broaden into loyalty and monetisation.

This is a hands-on product role with end-to-end accountability for the personalisation roadmap, backlog, delivery and commercial outcomes. Working with teams across Data Science, CRM, UX, Engineering, Marketing and Online, you will turn customer and business needs into scalable personalisation capabilities. You'll bring an omnichannel mindset, connecting experiences across the wider customer journey rather than focusing on digital channels in isolation. You will balance immediate opportunities with longer-term strategic investment, ensuring that personalisation delivers genuine value for customers and measurable growth for Currys.

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Set the personalisation vision and roadmap: Define and communicate an outcome-led personalisation strategy across Omni-channel experiences, aligned with our customer and commercial priorities.
  • Own prioritisation and the product backlog: Build, prioritise and sequence the backlog, balancing customer value, commercial impact, technical feasibility and delivery effort across short, medium and long-term opportunities.
  • Translate strategy into deliverable outcomes: Turn business objectives and customer problems into clear product requirements, hypotheses and measurable outcomes that cross-functional teams can execute.
  • Lead discovery and experimentation: Set the experimentation agenda for recommendations, targeted content, segmentation and dynamic merchandising. Define success measures, evaluate results and use evidence to determine whether initiatives should be improved, scaled or stopped.
  • Deliver measurable commercial value: Develop robust business cases for personalisation initiatives, establish appropriate KPIs and track performance against conversion, engagement, customer value and return on investment.
  • Champion the customer: Use qualitative and quantitative insight to understand customer missions, needs and pain points, ensuring personalisation makes journeys easier and more relevant rather than simply optimising short-term metrics.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery: Partner with Data Science, CRM, UX, Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, Trading, Customer Experience teams to ensure solutions are customer-centred, commercially valuable, technically sound and scalable.
  • Support coaching and mentoring: Lead, coach and mentor Product Owners and Assistant Product Owners promoting strong product management practices, agile ways of working, continuous improvement and a culture of accountability.

You will need:

  • Significant Product Owner or Product Manager experience, ideally within personalisation, recommendations, CRM, Loyalty, customer data or a related product area.
  • Demonstrable experience of creating and delivering outcome-led product strategies, roadmaps and backlogs.
  • A strong understanding of experimentation, including hypothesis creation, A/B testing, measurement of incremental uplift and evidence-based decision-making.
  • A track record of delivering measurable commercial and customer outcomes within a digital, ecommerce or omnichannel environment.
  • Experience using customer research, behavioural data, commercial analysis and market insight to identify and prioritise opportunities.
  • Strong technical fluency, with the ability to discuss architecture, data, scalability, performance and delivery trade-offs with engineering and data specialists.
  • Experience delivering complex initiatives across multiple teams using agile and iterative delivery methods, including breaking larger programmes into measurable MVPs.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders, coach product colleagues and hold delivery partners accountable.
