Role overview:

Repairs Technician Apprentice at Newark Distribution Centre.

Permanent Full Time, Grade 2, Salary: £26,500 per annum + bonus.

Shift Pattern: Tuesday - Friday, 07:00 – 17:00, with an early finish on Friday at 16:30. Hours: 37.5 per week. Start date: 6th September 2026.

Join our next Apprentice Technician cohort and launch your career at Europe’s largest Repair Centre. Delivered in partnership with Lincoln College, you'll split your time between their Newark campus and Repair Centre, also based in Newark. This two-year programme combines hands-on practical experience with classroom learning, leading to a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Electrical, Electronic Product Service and Installation Engineering.

Through a combination of hands-on experience and structured learning, you'll develop the skills to diagnose and repair faults, install and test electronic products, service equipment, safely handle and transport electrical goods, and deliver excellent customer service. Your primary focus will be laptop diagnostics and repair, giving you a strong foundation in technical troubleshooting and product servicing.

As your knowledge grows, you'll also have opportunities to gain exposure to a wide range of technology across the Repair Centre, including TVs, gaming consoles, tablets, mobile phones, and small domestic appliances.

How the programme works:

  • Tuesday to Friday working pattern
  • One week per month at Lincoln College (Newark campus). The remaining weeks at our Repair Centre in Newark
  • You’ll be expected to be on site at 7am when based at our repair centre
  • Dedicated training delivered by our award-winning training team
  • Structured milestones, coaching, and support from our Apprenticeship Manager and technical mentors
  • Industry recognised apprenticeship qualification on completion

  • Laptop diagnostics, fault finding and repair
  • Electrical and electronic servicing principles
  • Safe working practices and engineering fundamentals
  • Professional communication, teamwork and problem solving
  • Optional exposure to wider tech categories across the Repair Centre

What you’ll need:

  • Must live within a commutable distance to both Lincoln College’s Newark Campus and our Repair Centre in Newark
  • GCSEs at grade C/4 or above in English and Maths
  • A genuine interest in technology and how things work
  • A positive, motivated approach to learning
