This is an exciting time to join a vibrant People Team and evolving People Operations function, who are driving an exciting transformation roadmap and continuous improvement of our people processes and colleague experience. The Payroll Transformation Manager will lead the data migration from SAP payroll on-premise, reporting to the Head of Payroll and working with HR/IT and 3rd party transformation teams. This role focuses on delivering a robust, structured and accurate data migration across multiple testing cycles and cutover.

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Lead end-to-end payroll data migration projects, from discovery and planning through cutover and post-migration support.
  • Develop detailed migration plans, timelines, and data mapping strategies; partner with IT, HRIS, and third-party vendors to define ETL requirements.
  • Design and execute comprehensive data validation, reconciliation, and audit processes to ensure 100% data accuracy and integrity.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies, duplicate records, and legacy system anomalies prior to go-live.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, local tax laws) and coordinate parallel payroll runs to confirm migrated data produces accurate pay outcomes.
  • Manage risk registers, contingency plans, and oversee testing cycles (user acceptance testing) related to payroll data.
  • Manage stakeholder communication, providing regular status updates to payroll, HR, finance, and executive leadership.
  • Document migration methodology, data mapping specifications, and lessons learned for future projects.

You will need:

  • Experience in payroll operations, HRIS implementation, or data migration projects.
  • Proven track record managing at least one large-scale payroll system migration or implementation (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, Oracle HCM, UKG).
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Advanced Excel/data analysis skills; experience with SQL or data query tools is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a rigorous approach to data quality and reconciliation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data issues for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Professional certifications in payroll or project management are beneficial.
  • Experience in payroll system transitions, especially with SAP.
