The role of an experienced Analytics Manager (Credit & Services) will sit within the Operational and Customer Analytics team. The Analytics Manager will work collaboratively with the Director of Credit and the wider Credit team, Services Director and their team, plus the wider Data team community across Data Science, BI and other analysts. This role offers the applicant the opportunity to build upon their technical and modelling skillsets to act as an advisor to the credit team on what could be achieved and proactively offer suggestions of how to improve the quality of decision making.
You will be responsible for:
- Provide thought leadership on and support the development of solutions aimed at evaluation of specific credit promotional campaigns, understanding and measurement of the value of credit and its impact on customer profitability and lifetime value, etc.
- Lead deployment of specific analytics projects and initiatives – e.g. growth of customer service agreements, pricing of customer services agreements, development of proposition-specific customer segmentation, risk-based pricing models, etc.
- Stakeholder management: build relationships with business teams, understand their requirements, and drive collaborative way of working with colleagues in the data analytics community.
- Be able to work across other teams (Currys Insight team, eCommerce, BI) and business functions to influence the use of data and activate recommendations.
- Working with senior colleagues, develop an approach and a detailed plan for the delivery of the solution.
- Lead the delivery of an analytical solution. This will include hands-on technical work as well as providing support and leadership to junior members of the team (both UK and offshore).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Excellent problem-solving skills - able to break down complex problems into core components; identify key drivers of performance and change; link back into wider business context.
- Strategic thinker.
- Understand core analytical techniques; highly numerate and financially literate.
- Able to communicate data and insight easily to various functions at all levels of the business.
- Understanding of how to manage external suppliers / offshore teams.
- Can develop/inspire confidence/loyalty within junior members; mentor junior members of the team in the delivery of data analytics projects.
Please Note the role will require working with sensitive PII, financial and commercial data and the successful candidate will be expected to pass a DBS check, CCJ search and other background checks used in Financial Services.
