As a Trading Analyst within the Retentions Trading team, you would be responsible for driving SIM-Only customer Retention across multiple channels including Carphone Warehouse, Curry’s and idmobile.co.uk. This role sits at the heart of the ID trading team and is key in us keeping existing ID customers as long as possible. The successful candidate will be confident handling large volumes of data, drawing out trends and using commercial insight to influence the trading strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Retention Trading Manager with the on-going management of the SIM Only and second-line tariff portfolio, promotional planning, analysis of performance and price briefing.
- Produce daily and weekly sales/churn reporting to understand key drivers of performance across categories and channels.
- Support Retention and In-life teams through creation and maintenance of KPI dashboards
- Drive insight and reporting improvements/efficiency by working with BI to automate reporting suite.
- Support in driving the Carphone Warehouse and Curry’s channel, identifying opportunities to drive performance.
- Work closely with the iD web and marketing teams to understand key drivers and maximise opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help deliver SIM Only and second-line performance including Go To Market, Marketing and Operations
- Ensure price book accuracy and challenge Commercial team on profitability assumptions.
- Manage the iD Mobile.co.uk SIMO Retentions merchandising platform
- Gather insight and identify trends in the data. Feed opportunities into the proposition team and recommend changes to merchandising
- Improve the quality of data sets & forecasts to ensure the best retention decisions
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience of using data tools (e.g. Power BI, SQL, SAS or similar)
- Using data & insight to identify opportunities
- Commercial awareness
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across functions
- Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
- Strong attention to detail as well as a creative thinker
- Degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Economics strongly preferred
