First Line Manager – Home Delivery Network
Location: Slough – Unit A, Westgate Retail Park, 225 Bath Road, Slough, SL1 5PS.
Salary: £36,850 per annum.
Hours: 39 hours per week; 6.45 am – 4.00 pm, working either Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday.
Employment: Permanent, Full Time.

Role Overview
As a First Line Manager, you’ll lead and inspire the Home Delivery network team, coaching delivery drivers to achieve customer‑first results and continuously improving operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Oversee site operations, staffing and resource allocation.
- Motivate and manage a team of delivery drivers to meet delivery targets.
- Provide regular, constructive performance feedback.
- Influence operational decisions and support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external departments to ensure smooth delivery operations.
- Work cross‑functionally to support other work areas as required.
- Ensure a safe working environment, complying with health and safety policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven recent experience leading teams with a range of leadership and coaching methods.
- Track record of developing teams to achieve customer‑focused results.
- Strong organisational skills to implement plans, prioritise workloads, and translate goals into action.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with departments and convey expectations and standards.
- Ideally, experience working in a logistics or transport environment.
