Overview

Resource Planning Manager at Currys plc, Sheffield. Hybrid (offices located at Sheffield, Warrington, and Loughborough). Permanent, Full Time, Grade 4, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday). Salary up to £55,000 per annum depending on experience.

You will join the Contact Centre Planning Team, overseeing forecasting of demand for Outsourced Partnerships and Retained Teams, governance of strategic partnerships, and end-to-end Resource Planning for Retained Teams. The role is primarily remote with occasional travel to offices in Sheffield, Warrington or Loughborough. You will also support the wider Customer Management Centre (CMC) in transformational activity to model scenarios for cost projections in business cases.

Role overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Long and midrange forecasting and alignment to planning strategy, ensuring a flexible approach that supports brand requirements
  • Manage outsourced partnerships to govern CMC activity undertaken by partners (approximately 85%) and deliver the right outcomes for customers
  • Design, implement and manage end-to-end CMC staffing plans to meet or exceed service targets within budget, incorporating changes across people, process and systems
  • Collaborate with Commercial teams and local expertise to build accurate contact forecasts aligned to budgets and outlook
  • Identify demand drivers and work with stakeholders to improve future forecasting to ensure CMC strategy is achievable
  • Own a model forecasting effort and tracking actuals; work with leadership to balance resources across operations/projects and set priorities
  • Support Bi-annual Budgeting to ensure variable operational charges are reflected and aligned to an approved resource plan that supports financial, operational, and transformational goals

You will need:

  • Experience leading a Contact Centre Resource Planning Team in a managerial role
  • Forecasting within a Contact Centre environment using sensitive data and historical data to produce accurate long- and short-term forecasts
  • Experience developing best practices in forecasting, reporting, scheduling and planning and sharing these across the business
  • Experience working with an outsourced partner is desirable, including knowledge of forecast lock processes and invoice reconciliation
  • Budget and cost management for both short-term and long-term planning
  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulation and related principles, incorporated into outputs
