Join us as a Purchasing Assistant at our Customer Repair Centre in Newark and you will be responsible for ensuring our repair teams have all the equipment they need.
Responsibilities:- You will be working at one of the leading repair centres in Europe, repairing high‑end customer products for the largest consumer electronics high street retailer in the country.
- You will play an integral part of the Spares Purchasing team supporting with day‑to‑day general duties of the Spares Purchasing team.
- You’ll work closely with our vendors and key stakeholders across Service Operations, while collaborating with our wider business functions.
- You’ll also partner with stakeholders across the organisation, building strong relationships and making sure everyone is aligned to deliver the very best outcomes for our customers.
- To place orders, manage supply, return, and distribution of consumables, tools and uniform required for the Customer Repair Centre and Field Repairs Operations.
- To support the Buyer and Assistant Purchasing Managers to drive the day‑to‑day Indirect Purchasing Operation.
- Ensure accurate up‑to‑date ETA information is provided to the relevant business area.
- Order replacement products as required to support the repairs process.
- Ensure all documentation and systems processes are carried out correctly and efficiently.
- Support the delivery of Spares Purchasing KPIs.
- To chase supplier deliveries to improve supplier lead times and give accurate ETA’s for stock shortages.
- Ensure all tasks are carried out accurately on time and within budget.
- Work cross‑functionally to resolve challenges such as problem orders, invoice queries and to drive supplier compliance.
- Ensure data rigidity within the ordering systems.
- Monitor and act upon security/health and safety risks.
- Carrying out your role safely, accurately and efficiently.
- Carrying out any reasonable request from your Line Manager.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Drive personal performance to support own development.
- Allocate and efficiently manage own time.
- Excellent communicator (Verbal & Written).
- Experience of working with SAP ARIBA.
- Experience of working in a Purchasing environment.
