You’ll be part of the Stores Transformation team, specifically the Stores Space Planning team, working closely with our Commercial Buying and retail stores to ensure we have the range and space allocations to meet the needs of our customers and deliver optimised profitability. You will act as the contact between our function and property, delivery & implementation and commercial initiatives and retail design teams, working closely with all stakeholders through the programme and range change process.

Role overview

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that Curry’s Store Layouts are professionally planned and executed through every major and minor works and range change.
  • Acting as the contact between our function and both property, delivery & implementation and commercial initiatives and retail design teams, working closely with all stakeholders through the programme and range change process.
  • Following best practice to enable a high customer experience supporting new/reinvest store programmes and revenue generation through both increased sales and trading account/supplier funding in range change.
  • Producing clear store layouts with associated communications through all the stages of a project from brief to review, providing information to the working groups as necessary to deliver the change on time.
  • Delivering professional store-layout-based expertise to the working groups to maintain all standards relating to customer shopping behaviour and layout principles.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Numeracy skills, able to interpret and communicate information.
  • Analytical skills, able to interpret data to develop solutions.
  • Presentation skills, able to effectively communicate information and ideas.
  • Highly motivated, able to lead by example.
  • Ability to follow process and programme effectively.
  • Ability to manage and balance workload and to work as part of a cross‐functional workstream to add value to business decisions.
  • Ideally space planning experience with a retailer.
  • Good knowledge of retail layouts, fixtures and product displays.
  • Commercially aware, ability to agree routes forward.
  • Essential computer literacy at a high standard – Fifth Dimension or JDA, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ideal computer literacy – AutoCAD, Word, Outlook, Office 365.
