At Currys we’re united by one passion: to help everyone enjoy amazing technology. As the UK’s best-known retailer of tech, we’re proud of the service our customers receive – and it’s all down to our team of 25,000 caring and committed colleagues. Working as one team, we learn and grow together, celebrating the big and small moments that make every day amazing.

This is a pivotal role in delivering business continuity accountability across Currys UK&I - an opportunity to build and embed business continuity capability at scale across the entire organisation. If you're ready to shape something meaningful and see the tangible impact of your work, this is it.

Business continuity only works when the whole business is behind it. This role places you at the centre of Currys, working collaboratively with colleagues and leaders across Technology, Finance, Stores, Online, Supply Chain, Contact Centres, Communications, People and Legal to develop robust plans, conduct comprehensive testing and respond effectively to incidents. You'll partner with Senior Leadership teams to build resilience awareness and ensure business continuity planning has visibility and support at the highest level. You'll also engage with key outsourced partners whose services are critical to Currys' operations.

Role overview:

  • Own business continuity for Currys UK&I end to end: identify emerging threats, translate business needs into practical, actionable plans, and keep everything current as the organisation evolves.
  • Lead Business Impact Analysis across the business: identify critical functions and processes, assess the implications of disruption for each, and use those insights to set the right priorities and recovery objectives.
  • Coordinate regular testing and exercises: design and run comprehensive testing programmes that surface gaps, capture lessons learned and drive meaningful follow-through.
  • Own the incident response framework and playbook: keep both fit for purpose and take a leading role in incident response itself - activating plans, coordinating cross-functional teams and enabling the business to make clear decisions quickly.
  • Align BCP with Technology: work closely with our Technology teams to ensure business continuity planning and IT recovery planning are properly integrated and mutually reinforcing.
  • Drive sustained engagement and ownership: develop and deliver a comprehensive engagement strategy for BCP across the business, building genuine shared ownership of resilience and ensuring plans are understood, actively used and embedded.

You will need:

  • Proven expertise in business continuity and operational resilience within complex, multi-function organisations.
  • Ability to lead Business Impact Analysis, translate findings into practical plans and drive genuine business engagement with resilience.
  • Confidence running plan reviews, testing exercises and post-incident reviews with senior stakeholders under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of IT and technology recovery planning – credible enough to hold technical conversations without being a technologist.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the business.
  • Composure under pressure with the judgement to know when to act decisively and when to take a measured approach.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Business Continuity Plans across multi-site or multi-function organisations.
  • Experience leading or coordinating Business Impact Analysis, including identification of critical functions and recovery objectives.
  • Experience coordinating BCP testing, including gap analysis and lessons-learned processes.
  • Experience owning or contributing to an incident response framework.
  • MBCI qualification (or equivalent, such as ISO 22301 Lead Implementer).

We know our people are the secret to our success. That’s why we’re always looking for ways to reward great work. You’ll find a host of benefits designed to work for you, including:

  • Holiday benefits - 25 days of annual leave (plus bank holiday entitlement).
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Life Assurance.
  • Competitive pension scheme.
  • Access to discretionary bonus.
  • Hybrid working; our primary Currys Campus is at Waterloo (WeWork).
