The Commercial Contracts Manager is responsible for leading the negotiation, management and optimisation of iD Mobile’s commercial contracts. This role plays a critical part in shaping commercial strategy, mitigating risk, and driving sustainable value for iD Mobile’s customer and commercial outcomes. You will lead cross‑functional engagement with Legal, Procurement, Customer, Marketing, Online, Trading, Operations and external partners to ensure all commercial arrangements support iD’s strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of commercial contracting strategies to maximise customer and commercial value while effectively managing risk.
  • Own and lead negotiations with third‑party suppliers and partners on new and existing commercial agreements.
  • Provide strategic commercial insight and challenge business proposals to ensure alignment with iD Mobile’s financial and strategic objectives.
  • Own and ensure adherence to all contract governance processes, including Delegation of Authority and internal approvals.
  • Lead the creation and presentation of business cases to secure approval for commercial initiatives.
  • Provide oversight of contract performance, including compliance monitoring, issue escalation and resolution.
  • Act as the commercial lead for cross‑functional initiatives, influencing senior stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Identify opportunities for commercial improvement and drive continuous optimisation across the contract lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in contract ownership and negotiation.
  • Highly analytical with experience shaping commercial recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of legal frameworks, regulatory requirements and risk management.
  • Proven ability to influence at senior levels and manage complex stakeholder environments.
  • Demonstrable leadership capability, including coaching and supporting junior team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.
  • Proactive, resilient and solutions‑focused, with a drive to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Telecoms or MVNO experience is desirable.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant field.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft applications.
