Overview: Assistant Category Merchandiser (MDA) – Currys London Campus at Waterloo. Permanent • Full Time • Grade 3.

Currys is the UK’s best-known retailer of tech. Our Merchandising teams help categories hit targets by building relationships with suppliers and monitoring performance. You’ll be at the heart of our category success, supporting the Category Merchandiser to deliver results in an environment with opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building close relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and the supply chain to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Stepping up and taking responsibility for achieving all key performance indicators (sales, stock, margin and markdown).
  • Reviewing sales forecasts based on historical data, seasonal trends and market trends.
  • Monitoring weekly performance and making recommendations to implement in-season plans and deliver target availability across the store estate.
You will need:
  • Previous experience in Merchandising, ideally in consumer goods, technology, non-fashion or a related sector.
  • Knowledge of merchandise planning systems such as SAP, Compass Planning or similar.
  • Experience of Business Objects.
  • Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills.
