This Advertising Manager position operates within the Currys Brand & Advertising team, leading end‑to‑end delivery of activations from tens‑of‑thousands to multi‑million‑pound advertising campaigns across both creative & media. They will strategically plan and activate media across Currys’ media mix and trade plan, from creative and agency briefing, campaign administration/set‑up, optimisations, and post campaign wrap ups. Working collaboratively with our agencies to build holistic comms plans alongside other key stakeholders across multiple business functions to drive Currys’ brand fame, deliver ROI and deliver bottom line sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and deliver campaign strategy, production processes and post campaign analysis, considering full end to end campaign planning.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on advertising plans.
- Manage day‑to‑day relationships with creative agencies, media agency, and category teams.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation.
- Ensure all advertising activities are delivered within budget and meet the required high standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrable knowledge or experience in advertising & marketing, either in education or employment – 5+ years of experience in an advertising or marketing role, either client or agency side.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of what works well in channel, and how to grab attention and stop the scroll.
- A confident understanding of our brand & comms personality, and not be afraid to push boundaries.
- Passionate about process, and ability to turn a blank page into a fully‑fledged workstream machine.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal – being confident, clear and factual are paramount.
- A creative mindset with the ability to influence and challenge – sustaining and executing our brand system is paramount.
- Ability to multitask within a team environment and work under pressure.
- High level of accuracy required to manage multiple campaigns and executions.
- Good understanding of media planning, optimisation and reporting.
- Respect, championing and delivering to strict workstream processes and critical – while also enabling stakeholders to do so.
- Ability to think commercially; yet still maintain a brand and communications north star.
- Proactive and passionate about advertising and the consumer technology industry.
- Good understanding of budget and finance planning – with an eye for detail in accounting.
