Currys London Campus at Waterloo Permanent Full Time Grade 4

We’re iD Mobile, one of the UK’s leading mobile virtual network operators. We launched in May 2015 and have over 2.5 million Pay Monthly customers. We’re delighted about our success so far and have very ambitious plans for the future. iD Mobile is an exciting place to work. We value innovation, imagination, and creativity. We’re passionate about finding new ways to address our customers’ needs.

Within iD Mobile’s commercial trading team, this role is responsible for driving handset upgrade performance across the retained customer base. You’ll use data and customer insight to develop propositions, shape investment decisions, and manage a calendar of upgrade and retention activity that grows ARPU, increases handset attachment, and reduces churn. The role requires strong commercial and analytical capability, with the ability to work across GTM, CRM, channel, and manufacturer teams to land coordinated execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the plan to deliver volume, margin, churn, and tenure targets across upgrade and retention activity across all touchpoints and channels.
  • Develop upgrade pricing strategy and proposition, balancing customer appeal with margin delivery across contract duration and MRC tiers.
  • Build and maintain strong manufacturer relationships, acting as a key commercial contact for handset‑related planning, GTM execution, and NPI performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with CRM and channel teams to define target segments and execute a structured test‑and‑learn roadmap.
  • Analyse end‑to‑end performance of retention and upgrade activity — conversion, margin, tenure impact — and translate findings into clear next steps and learnings.
  • Drive growth in device up‑sell, identifying the right customer segments, propositions, and triggers to influence customer decisions.
  • Provide insight‑led input into proposition development, longer‑term channel strategy, and investment prioritisation across customer segments.
  • Support and develop the handset retention analyst, helping build analytical capability and a culture of evidence‑based decision making.
  • Generate insights, understand customer behaviours and create recommendations for reducing churn & driving value from our customer base.
  • Improve the quality of data sets & forecasts to ensure the best retention decisions.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience in measuring and driving ROI.
  • Highly numerate and analytical, comfortable building and interrogating data models and forecasts.
  • Experience in mobile, telecoms, or a similarly fast‑paced consumer business preferred.
  • Proven ability to build cross‑functional relationships and influence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with BI or data tools an advantage.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ownership mindset — takes accountability for outcomes, not just activity.
  • Collaborative — works openly across teams and brings people with them.
  • Curious and analytical — always asking what the data says and what it means.
  • Decisive under ambiguity — comfortable making recommendations with imperfect information.
Benefits:
  • 25 days of annual leave (plus bank holiday entitlement) and a competitive pension scheme.
  • Private Medical Insurance.
  • Life Assurance.
  • Fantastic colleague discounts on Tech with Currys and iD Mobile.
  • Hybrid working (with an expectation to meet in person 2‑4 times per month).
