At Currys we’re united by one passion: to help everyone enjoy amazing technology. As the UK’s best-known retailer of tech, we’re proud of the service our customers receive – and it’s all down to our team of 25,000 caring and committed colleagues. Working as one team, we learn and grow together, celebrating the big and small moments that make every day amazing.

The AI & Monetisation division is one of the fastest-moving parts of Currys. The MD needs a sharp, resourceful operator who can multiply their effectiveness: managing competing demands, keeping on top of comms, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. This is not a traditional admin role. You will need commercial awareness, significant emotional intelligence, and a drive to use AI to create genuine value. Motivation is key here.

Role overview:
  • Maximise the MD’s Impact: Own the MD’s time: manage a complex, fast-moving calendar across professional and personal commitments to ensure every hour is used with purpose. Operate as a day-to-day extension of the MD — be present in the London office when they are, and travel to external meetings and off-sites as required. Anticipate needs before they surface. Filter, prioritise, and manage the flow of information, requests, and decisions reaching the MD. Coordinate domestic and international travel, optimising for time efficiency. Attend leadership meetings, capture actions, and drive follow-through — ensuring the MD's priorities are translated into clear, trackable actions across the team. Stay current on AI, digital technology, retail media, and retail transformation. Prepare concise briefings, competitive summaries, and market scans on a regular cadence. Use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI platforms fluently to prepare documents, summaries, research, and presentations at speed. Recognise that this division operates at pace and beyond standard hours. Flexibility is essential, balanced with a commitment to sustainable working practices.
  • Build & Maintain Relationships: Know the AIM team well. Be attuned to morale, energy, and dynamics — effectively surfacing risks and suggesting ways to increase both psychological safety and pace. Proactively maintain a “social heartbeat” with counterparts at strategic partners — keeping relationships warm between formal engagements. Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across Currys, from ExCo offices to functional teams. Understand how things get done and where to unblock. Plan and deliver high-quality team events, offsites, and partner engagements that reinforce culture and build momentum.
About You:
  • Experienced operator: you’ve supported a senior leader in a fast-paced, commercial environment and know what “good” looks like.
  • Relentlessly organised with outstanding attention to detail — but you don’t let process slow you down.
  • High EQ: you read rooms, sense tensions, and navigate politics with discretion and judgement.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. You don’t wait to be told; you see what needs doing and you do it.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication — you can draft an ExCo-ready briefing or a warm partner email with equal confidence.
  • Genuinely curious about technology and AI — you use these tools daily, not because the JD says so, but because you find them useful.
  • Resilient and low-ego. You thrive in a high-pace environment and don’t need external validation for every task.
  • Most importantly – you recognise the scale of change AI represents, and are fired up to be a part of harnessing that for the good of our colleagues and customers.

Every voice has a space at our table and we're committed to making inclusion and diversity part of everything we do, including how we strengthen our workforce. We want to make sure you have a fair opportunity to show us your talents during our application process.
