You’ll be building something new at Currys – a commercial ecosystem that turns our unique assets into significant new revenue streams. This means monetising everything from our physical and digital footprint to our customer data and intellectual property. You’ll be leading as an intrapreneur, creating opportunities that don’t exist yet and building the capability to deliver them across the organisation. You’ll partner with Commercial, Marketing, and Technology leaders to create advertising propositions that add real value. You’ll work closely with Legal, Privacy and Infosec to keep data initiatives GDPR compliant and customer centric. You’ll collaborate with customer data, digital, and store teams to build measurement capabilities, and partner with media agencies, tech partners and brand advertisers across enterprise and agency segments.
Role overview: What you will be doing:
- Lead the evolution of our commerce media business, monetising our physical and digital assets.
- Define product offerings, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies that deliver high-impact advertising.
- Establish a high-performing sales and account management team for partners and advertisers.
- Own the monetisation P&L, setting revenue targets and defining pricing strategies and margin expectations.
- Build closed-loop reporting that proves to advertisers how Currys investment drives sales and builds brands.
- Identify, pitch, and secure partnerships with non-endemic brands that align with customers’ lifestyles.
- Partner with finance, merchandising, and marketing teams to make sure the big picture works for everyone.
- Unlock new revenue opportunities through monetising data assets with AI-powered insights.
- Spot underutilised assets and turn them into revenue opportunities.
What you will bring:
- A track record in Retail Media, Digital Advertising or Commercial Partnerships within retail environments.
- Experience building and managing B2B sales teams with strong pipeline management and forecasting skills.
- Confidence structuring and negotiating complex deals including data licensing and media partnerships.
- Deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and the metrics advertisers care about.
- Commercial acumen with experience managing a P&L, setting revenue targets and managing margins.
- Innovation capability that spots untapped assets and turns them into revenue opportunities.
- Excellent influencing skills to work with stakeholders who care deeply about their customer or stores.
- A hunger to deliver transformational change inside an iconic retailer.
