We are seeking an Engineering Estimator to join our dynamic estimating team. This role supports the quoting and costing of complex, high-specification components across aerospace, defence and energy sectors. You will liaise closely with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure accurate, competitive quotes while maintaining compliance with stringent industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as an aerospace estimator or time-served machinist milling and / or turning (milling experience preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings. Also Basic knowledge Viewing CAD models an advantage.
- Good Knowledge of aerospace-grade materials, alloys and finishing processes.
- Previous use of Creo, Epicor ERP, and Microsoft Excel is advantageous
- A strong team ethic and willingness to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
- Solid foundation in Maths and English to support estimating accuracy and professional correspondence
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing detailed customer quotations for complex aerospace and defence projects
- Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure accurate costings
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications
- Supporting the estimating manager in delivering accurate and timely quotes
