We’re looking for a Buyer who can support our sourcing and purchasing activities across the business. Working as part of a small team, the role requires close collaboration with engineering, quality, production, and programme management to ensure on-time, compliant, and cost-effective supply.
Key Responsibilities:- The role will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, components, services, and everyday consumables to support aerospace and defence engineering programmes and the everyday running of the company.
- 3+ years’ experience in a purchasing role within engineering/manufacturing.
- Experience working with MRP/ERP systems.
- Strong numerical and communication skills (verbal & written) to support business demand.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in aerospace, defence, or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of commercial and aerospace materials and alloys, & specials processes/treatments.
- Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO9001 environments.
- Experience with Epicor 10/Kinetic ERP system.
- Experience with defence-related supply chains.
- Flexibility around the core start and finish times and finish at 12 noon on Fridays.
- Additional overtime at competitive rates can be offered Monday to Friday where required.
- 25 days, plus bank holidays.
- Annual bonus scheme linked to company profits and performance targets.
