Due to continued expansion, Currie Solutions are recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our team in Warrington.
Shifts considered: Mon-Fri & 4 on 4 off.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication and coordination between various departments, drivers and customers, facilitating the smooth flow of data and information across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and allocate vehicles, areas, and shifts in line with operational requirements.
- Routing and scheduling of vehicles and drivers in the most cost effective manner and within time parameters set by customers.
- Communicate relevant operational information to drivers in a clear and timely manner.
- Handle telephone enquiries from drivers and customers, escalating to the appropriate department when necessary.
- Accurately input and update data in the Traffic Management System, ensuring all fields are properly completed.
- Monitor and support drivers to ensure compliance with tachograph regulations.
- Track and trace trailers and trucks
- Accurate input of data into traffic management system ensuring all required data fields are completed.
- Ensure that paperwork received from drivers is all present and correct and passed to the appropriate departments.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Good understanding/knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Transport Manager CPC is desirable
