We are currently looking to recruit a European Import Planner to join our Groupage operations team in Warrington. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating deliveries of Import freight in the UK, carrying out customs formalities and also planning Import freight from the EU. In addition, you will maintain and build strong relationships with our customers with a view to increasing both freight destinations and freight volumes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining day to day contact with customers in order to determine their service requirements.
- Ensuring that the parameters set by customers and partners are met in the most effective and cost efficient manner.
- Planning European groupage movements from the EU to the UK.
- Preparing and submitting customs documentation.
- Ensure that all administration (including pricing and costing) and paperwork is completed accurately.
- Ensure that all information is inputted on to the traffic management system accurately.
- Ensure that all paperwork is present for shipping and meets customer, customs and partner requirements.
Required experience/skills
- European Import Groupage planning - 2 years
- Ability to work swiftly and accurately
