The Opportunity

As Senior People Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the UK People team while partnering closely with stakeholders across our European business. You will act as a trusted advisor to managers, provide specialist guidance across the employee lifecycle, and lead on a range of people initiatives, organisational change programmes, and complex employee relations matters.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide professional, timely HR guidance across the full employee lifecycle, acting as a trusted advisor to managers across the UK and Europe.
  • Lead and support a variety of employee relations matters - ranging from performance and sickness to disciplinary and grievance cases - ensuring best practice, fairness, and compliance always.
  • Manage investigations, attend meetings at short notice, and build strong relationships with stakeholders at every level.
  • Contribute to organisational development, CSR, DEI and Social Value initiatives, helping to strengthen our culture and support wider business goals.
  • Support key people projects including pay review, appraisals and training delivery, ensuring consistent and high‑quality employee experience.
  • Produce clear, insight‑driven HR reports that highlight trends and inform effective decision‑making across the business.
  • Shape, update and embed HR policies that reflect best practice and enable a fair, consistent approach.
  • Play an active role in transformational change activity, supporting leaders and teams through periods of transition.
  • Work closely with People team colleagues across Europe to ensure a cohesive, aligned and high‑quality HR service.
  • Support monthly payroll processes, respond to employee queries, and oversee core HR operations including probation, sickness management, contract changes, and leavers.
  • Contribute to board reporting and follow‑up on agreed actions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in an HR advisory or generalist position where you have supported complex casework such as disciplinary, grievance, performance, bullying and harassment, sickness absence, and redeployment.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, with interest in EU employment frameworks.
  • Ability to interpret complex issues and provide clear, tailored guidance.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a solution‑oriented approach.
  • Strong data skills - confident using Excel and producing MI, analysing trends, and working with HR systems.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Line management experience is an advantage.
  • Additional European language skills (e.g., Italian or German) are desirable but not essential.
