Currie & Brown are looking for a Project Director with hospitality experience in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Roles at this level will direct and manage the delivery of large and complex projects, manage relationships with senior stakeholders and provide leadership role to project teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for delivery of large scale hospitality projects
  • Responsible for project definition and delivery
  • Lead a large team, setting objectives, managing performance and ensuring that staff have the necessary skills to deliver the project objectives
  • Responsible for establishing project delivery plans and appropriate control and governance mechanisms to assure effective delivery of the project
  • Manage multiple consultants and contractors
  • Work within established financial systems to independently produce plans and schedules and track and manage budgets, highlighting variances in order to manage and control project delivery targets
  • Use own knowledge and experience of industry best practice to implement and manage project processes and policies. Provide insightful recommendations that may support any improvement to processes and systems
  • Present any business project risks or issues to senior managers (with proposed mitigation) to ensure the project is not adversely impacted, and ensure the delivery of projects to compliant standards
  • Liaise and collaborate with clients and key stakeholders, in order to ensure all parties are informed and aware of project progress and expectations
  • Analyse and review complex information from a range of data sources, in order to identify how different options may impact project delivery and advise clients and internal stakeholders on potential implications and mitigations
  • Act as a technical expert within own projects, providing strategic advice to other senior managers, in order to support successful delivery in line with project objectives and strategies
  • Assure compliance with contracts in terms of project delivery parameters and scope of service
  • Develop and manage team leaders
  • Translate business objectives into operational financial targets, producing clearly defined business cases, plans and schedules for projects, and taking responsibility for meeting the profit and budgetary targets of the project
  • Talent development and succession planning

Skills, experience & qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Project management professional certification or accreditation
  • Previous experience leading large scale and complex projects
  • Proven ability to manage, motivate and lead large teams
  • Strong pre-contract and post-contract experience
  • Excellent contract administration experience
  • Leading project management expert
  • Experience of managing stakeholders at executive level
