We are looking for a talented Internal Communications Manager to play a key role in shaping and delivering internal communications that keep colleagues informed, engaged and aligned with our business strategy and values.
As part of our UK & Europe Marketing & Communications team, this role will be responsible for adopting strategic approaches and delivering communications activity end-to-end, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business. Strong internal stakeholder management and excellent copywriting skills are essential to effectively translate complex business information into clear, compelling and engaging content for audiences across the region. You will also work closely with our Group Marketing & Communications and People teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal Communications Strategy & Delivery
- Implement the internal communications strategy and develop communications plans that support our business priorities.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of communications activity, from planning and drafting to distribution and evaluation.
- Ensure all communications are consistent, clear and aligned with Currie & Brownβs tone of voice and values.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Management
- Act as a trusted partner to leaders across the business, advising on strategic approaches to internal communications, developing plans that align with priorities, and updating on progress and campaign performance.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across the People team, operational teams, marketing and regional teams to ensure joined-up communications.
- Influence and challenge constructively to improve clarity and impact of messaging.
- Copywriting & Content Creation
- Produce high-quality, engaging written content across internal channels, including: leadership communications, intranet articles, emails, webinar scripts, case studies and other materials.
- Translate technical, commercial and operational information into accessible and engaging copy that resonates with diverse audiences.
- Maintain high editorial standards, consistently adopting our brand tone-of-voice to bring our brand essence β the Value of Certainty β to life, and ensure accuracy of content.
- Channels & Engagement
- Manage and optimise internal communication channels (e.g. intranet, email campaigns, webinars and internal events).
- Maintain a forward planning schedule and ensure timely delivery of content.
- Measurement & Insight
- Monitor engagement and gather feedback to assess effectiveness and improve future communications.
- Provide reporting and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in an internal communications-focused role within a B2B organisation, ideally within a professional services or consultancy environment and matrix structure.
- Proven experience delivering internal communications activity end-to-end.
- Exceptional copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling, engaging and clear communications.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Familiarity with intranet platforms and digital communications tools, including email marketing platforms.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
Qualifications
Degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Desirable
- Experience in the construction, infrastructure or built environment sectors.
