The successful candidate will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing, and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider working across a range of projects such as large commercial new builds for blue chip clients, private residential, towers and national government frameworks etc. Currie & Brown's quantity surveying team is one of the largest in Scotland and is currently working on a wide variety of notable projects which the successful candidate could get involved in. A multi-phased redevelopment of Aberdeen's city centre and beachfront450 million exemplar major net zero acute hospitalMultimillion-pound commercial and residential development in Edinburgh's city centreMajor 40 million expansion of Leith's harbour26 million incubator research facility for a university and local authority clientNew high-quality 30 million teaching facility for a Russell Group university55 million exemplar net zero carbon commercial development at HaymarketYour core duties will involve: Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clientsDelivering projects, commissions and professional assignmentsAssuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team playerMaintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial controlUndertaking commercial management services with limited supervisionDelivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely mannerProviding support to the team leader/service leaders in cost management of projectsRepresenting the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationshipsWhat skills and attributes are we looking for from youBSc in quantity surveying or equivalentMembership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)Private commercial sector experience – ideally experience gained from some of the following: offices, residential, hospitality, major projects, fit out and refurbProficient CostX or other Cost Planning softwareSustainability and Data Skills i.e.
