Currie & Brown is looking for a Finance Manager for our South Asia Pacific region, based in our Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) office. Reporting to the Asia Pacific Finance Director and supporting the Country Leads, key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the periodic budget and forecast, and the full P&L analysis of the South Asia Pacific businesses including monthly reporting, variance analysis and review calls with senior management team
- Planning and managing cash position, cashflow projection and ensuring optimal working capital
- Managing all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P and GL and revenue recognition (under IFRS 15)
- Co-ordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Supporting month-end and year-end close process
- Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Managing and complying with local and national government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Managing existing resources around project administration and credit control
- Liaising with other regional team members to review transactional processing
- Key lead on audit and taxation
- Project review and revenue recognition with operations
- Key reviewer of the wider group's off shoring centre, including inter-company reconciliations and recharges
- Ad hoc tasks as requested
Requirements:
- CPA qualified or relevant
- Minimum of 3 years' experience
- Experience of managing remote teams desirable
- Knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and procedures
- A minimum of two years' auditing experience at an international accounting firm
- A minimum of two years' experience in a multinational company; consultancy/engineering company preferred
- Proven accounting experience in long-term contract revenue recognition
- Good business acumen
- Strong accounting, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in verbal and written English
