The role
Currie & Brown is looking for a director of Quantity Surveying to lead our team in Jersey. The successful candidate will be part of a team of quantity surveyors covering all aspects of professional and project-related building surveying across the private and public sector.
The successful candidate will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider, working to promote the company and services to potential new and existing clients, capturing, and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as preferred service provider.
As an associate director / director, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing accurate cost advice and reporting
• Delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments
• Assuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player
• Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for successful project completion; liaising with other managers to ensure xgikmsk efficient financial control
• Undertaking commercial management services with limited supervision
• Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
• Managing a quantity surveying team and mentoring junior members of the team
• Contributing to achieving the targets of the five-year plan and taking responsibility for P&L of cost management services
• Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships
