Your core duties will involve:
- Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients
- Delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments
- Leading commercial management services with limited supervision
- Assuming a leading role within the team and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment where talent can thrive
- Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects
- Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
- Liaising with other managers to ensure good resource allocation and efficient financial control
- Providing support to the team leader/service leaders in cost management of projects
- Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships
What skills and attributes are we looking for from you:
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
- Awareness of sustainability requirements, the need for carbon reduction, carbon assessments and option studies
- Data Skills including preparing cost analyses, benchmarking and dashboard and smart reporting
- Public/private sector experience - ideally experience gained from some of the following: new build, cut & carve, refurbishment and fit out - offices, healthcare, residential, hospitality, major projects, government and leisure & retail
- Pre and post-contract experience
- Proficient CostX or other Cost Planning software
- Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
- Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
- A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
