People and Payroll Specialist – UK and Europe

Fixed term contract 12 - 18 months

Join our collaborative People Team and help deliver an excellent employee experience across the UK and Europe. This varied role combines people operations, payroll administration, reward and benefits, reporting, compliance and service improvement, offering broad exposure across the employee lifecycle.

The role – what is it we would like you to do?

Your core duties will involve:

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee and manager queries, providing professional support across HR, payroll and benefits.
  • Maintain accurate employee data, HR reporting and compliance, supporting onboarding, contractual changes and employee lifecycle activities.
  • Provide first-line guidance on HR policies, absence, family leave, flexible working and employee relations matters, escalating where appropriate.
  • Support UK and European payroll processes, including data validation, payroll administration and query resolution.
  • Administer reward and benefits, including pensions, benefit enrolments and ongoing employee support.
  • Produce people, payroll and benefits reports and insights to support business decision-making, compliance and continuous improvement.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented People and Payroll specialist to join our collaborative People Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in HR and payroll who is looking to broaden their expertise across the full employee lifecycle within a UK and European environment.

Working closely with the Payroll and Benefits Manager and People Managers, you will play a key role in delivering a responsive and professional service to employees and managers. You will support a wide range of activities across people operations, employee lifecycle management, payroll administration, reward and benefits, reporting, compliance, employee relations support and continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, customer-focused and confident managing multiple priorities, with a strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality and delivering a positive employee experience. In return, you will gain exposure to a broad range of People-related activities, work with stakeholders across the business, and contribute to projects that help shape and improve our People services across the UK and Europe.

What skills and attributes are we looking for from you:

We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering a great employee experience and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will be organised, proactive and confident managing a varied workload, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Experience in payroll, reward and benefits, HR systems, or supporting UK and European people operations would be advantageous.

While experience across all of these areas is not essential, we're looking for someone who brings experience in one or more of these disciplines, alongside a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for supporting people.
