Job Description
Currie & Brown is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to work as part of the Business Systems team β assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of processes and applications aimed at enabling efficient operation of the business.
- Initially, the role will focus on testing activities for system development and system administrative tasks, such as upgrades.
- In time, it is expected that the role will include taking ownership of projects as identified by the systems development plan. This will include:
- Solution design.
- Data migration, including data load templates and processes.
- System configuration.
- System testing and validation.
- Change control documentation.
- Successful handover to support.
- Assist with development of integrations and automation using the REST and SOAP APIs available within Unit4 ERP.
- Assist with ongoing development and maintenance of the company\βs e-learning system.
- Assist in the analysis of the existing Unit4 ERP system to identify and develop new business intelligence reports and develop ad hoc system queries/reports as requested by the business.
- Assist in the identification and development of processes on the system which will increase business efficiency.
- Business systems analysis, management information systems and/or financial systems.
- Finance and accountancy.
- Been a key member of a complex, technical project.
- Demonstrably taken initiative to successfully improve a process, system etc. within their team/organisation. The process or system would ideally have been of a technical nature.
- Preferred sector experience required:
- Strong SQL experience.
- Experience of using REST/SOAP API\βs.
- Experience of an ERP system as a system administrator, support consultant etc.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- An organised and logical approach to work and problem solving.
- Confident in working with external IT consultants and a wide range of people from across the business.
- Ability to engage with the business, understand needs and deliver practical solutions to improving efficiency.
- A desire to learn and deliver excellent service to the business stakeholders.
- A broad understanding of the issues relevant to implementing system change.
