Lead and shape Work Integrated Learning (WIL) across accredited Podiatric Medicine and Surgery programs. Build and sustain high-impact clinical placement partnerships across metro, regional and rural settings. Full-time (1 FTE) appointment on a tenurable basis. Base salary range: Level C, $144,143– $165,809 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

Within the School, the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Department delivers accredited programs aligned to contemporary professional practice. Our teaching emphasises high-quality clinical education and Work Integrated Learning, ensuring graduates are well prepared for complex and evolving healthcare environments.

About the opportunity: As Senior Lecturer, you will provide academic leadership for Work Integrated Learning (WIL) in Podiatric Medicine programs and support the development and coordination of WIL in Podiatric Surgery programs. This role plays a critical part in sourcing, developing and sustaining high-quality clinical placement opportunities that align with accreditation standards and contemporary podiatric practice. You will work closely with students, academic colleagues, clinicians and external partners to ensure placements are meaningful, culturally safe and well supervised. In addition to WIL leadership, you will contribute to teaching, unit coordination, curriculum development, scholarly activity in teaching and learning, and research. The role offers the opportunity to influence education policy, strengthen clinical partnerships, and enhance the national and international reputation of the discipline.

About you: A degree in Podiatric Medicine, Podiatry or a related discipline, with current Ahpra registration. Demonstrated experience coordinating WIL and clinical education in a tertiary or professional setting. Proven ability to source and manage clinical placements and build sustainable partnerships with healthcare, industry and community organisations. Experience delivering high-quality teaching, including unit coordination, curriculum design and innovative assessment. Evidence of research and/or scholarship of teaching and learning, with capacity to publish in peer-reviewed journals. Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities. A demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and culturally safe practice. Experience contributing to accreditation processes, supervising research students, and developing rural placement opportunities will be highly regarded.
