Lead quality assurance activities across major enterprise transformation projects at UWA. Contribute to critical payroll, rostering, and workforce technology initiatives through both manual and automated testing. Full-time appointment on a fixed term basis for 12 months. UWA is also looking to utilise technology advancements to expand its services and create new and innovative teaching and research models. Robust, flexible, integrated, and agile enterprise architecture, information and technology services are vital to enabling the university strategic objectives. At University IT, we drive innovation to support UWA’s teaching, research, and operational excellence. As part of our Test and Release Team, you will support the University’s technology transformation by ensuring the quality and reliability of digital solutions across enterprise systems.
About the opportunity
Support critical payroll transformation activities, including payroll validation, interpretive timesheet testing, and parallel payroll run testing to ensure pay accuracy, compliance, and business continuity during system upgrades and deployments. You will contribute to maintaining high standards of testing practices across complex enterprise initiatives, including software development, system integrations, payroll platforms, workforce management systems, and infrastructure-related upgrades. The role will also support the continued adoption and enhancement of test automation practices, frameworks, and tools to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and quality outcomes across University IT projects.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, test suites, and automated test scripts for enterprise applications and integrated systems.
- Experience testing payroll, rostering, workforce management, HR systems, or interpretive timesheet solutions will be highly regarded.
- Experience in payroll system testing, including parallel payroll run validation, award interpretation, interpretive timesheet testing, and reconciliation of payroll outcomes, will be highly regarded.
- Experience working with test management and automation tools such as Azure DevOps and Katalon, including supporting automation framework improvements and regression testing activities.
