About the area
The Directorate of Student Success and Progression sits within the UWA Education Portfolio, overseen by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Education and Student Experience. Student Success and Progression plays an integral role in the shared strategic goal of providing a world-class student experience. The Directorate has responsibility for critical areas across the student lifecycle, including Admissions, Enrolments, Fees, Scholarships, Timetabling, Student Advising, Exams and Graduation. Working across the University, the Directorate partners with academic and professional leaders to deliver integrated, student-centred services that support academic success, retention, and progression.
About the opportunity
- Lead the strategic and operational delivery of critical student administration services in the Fees function, ensuring compliance, service excellence and alignment with University priorities.
- Manage and develop a high-performing Fees team while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the student and stakeholder experience.
- Contribute to major projects, policy development and operational planning across the student lifecycle, supporting organisational goals and service innovation.
About you
- Experienced leader within the higher education sector with a proven ability to manage teams, drive performance and contribute to strategic direction.
- Demonstrated success in delivering customer-centred services and improving operational processes to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Highly skilled in planning and implementing complex projects, managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to interpret policy and provide sound advice on complex operational matters.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with a commitment to delivering an exceptional student experience.
