Base salary range: $104,243 – $115,661 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area: Finance supports the mission of the University by providing a high quality, end-to-end, flexible and responsive financial management and advisory service including provision of corporate financial services. The University’s professional service delivery model was created to deliver effective and efficient end-to-end services across the whole University. The model includes all core services of the University and creates functionally aligned services delivered through Service Delivery Centres.
About the opportunity: Play a key role in supporting whole-of-University budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning through high-quality analysis and consolidation. Contribute to the development of driver-based planning models, insights and reporting that inform strategic decision-making at senior levels. Collaborate across diverse university stakeholders to deliver continuous improvement in financial management practices, systems and processes.
About you: Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance or similar, with progress toward CPA/CA (or equivalent) and experience in complex financial planning environments. Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data, build models, and provide meaningful insights while maintaining attention to detail. Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and managing consolidated financial information in large, multi-funding organisations. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial audiences. Highly organised and proactive, with advanced Excel/financial systems skills (experience with Oracle/Hyperion desirable) and a collaborative working style. Experience working within the Hyperion and PeopleSoft systems.
