About the area

The Dental School and the Oral Health Centre of Western Australia (OHCWA) operate within a unique clinical–academic setting, supporting dental education, research, and the delivery of specialist and general oral healthcare to the Western Australian community. Together, they provide care to more than 15,000 patients annually while meeting stringent accreditation, governance and reporting requirements across university, healthcare and government frameworks.

About the opportunity

  • Lead the development and delivery of integrated analytics, dashboards and reporting across student, clinical and operational systems to support informed decision-making.
  • Provide high-quality data and insights to meet service contract, accreditation and regulatory reporting obligations within a healthcare and higher education environment.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, academics and professional staff to strengthen data governance, improve operational performance and enable self-service reporting.

About you

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in data analytics, health informatics, computer science, statistics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end data analysis, integration and reporting solutions in a complex organisation, ideally within healthcare or tertiary education.
  • Strong technical capability using SQL, relational databases, ETL processes and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or SSRS (experience with Python or R is advantageous).
  • Ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for clinical, executive and operational stakeholders.
  • Highly developed communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

A current National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and “C” class driver’s licence may be required by the successful applicant. Some after-hours work may be required on occasion for reporting deadlines. The applicant may require access to clinical and student systems.
