Play a key role supporting senior leaders in a nationally significant energy research organisation. High‑autonomy administrative role with exposure to industry, research and government partners. Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 24 months. Base salary range: $95,231 – $100,643 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

The Future Energy Exports Cooperative Research Centre (FEnEx CRC) is an Australian not‑for‑profit research organisation focused on decarbonising energy exports through industrial‑scale research and innovation. Working across LNG and hydrogen, the CRC brings together universities, industry and government to deliver research, education, policy advice, testing facilities and PhD programs that position Australia as a global energy leader.
About the opportunity
As the Administrative Officer, you will provide high‑level administrative and executive support to the CRC, including the CEO and COO, while taking ownership of office systems, processes and day‑to‑day operations. You will work with a high degree of autonomy, coordinating meetings and events, supporting outreach and communications activities, and ensuring smooth financial and administrative workflows. This role offers broad exposure across research operations, external partnerships and senior stakeholder engagement within a dynamic and purpose‑driven environment.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in high‑level administrative or executive support roles, ideally within a complex organisation.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence liaising across internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive, self‑directed approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency across office systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email and online tools.
