About the area
The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Global Engagement leads initiatives focused on achievement of global engagement and the internationalisation strategy. The team works collaboratively across the University to progress international student recruitment, research and industry engagement initiatives. It establishes strategic partnerships and maintains strong relationships with key education, research, public and private sector organisations worldwide. The Global Learning and Sponsored Students team supports both international students studying at UWA and domestic students seeking international study experiences. The Global Learning and Sponsored Students team assists students with their transition to UWA, acts as a point of contact and ensures appropriate support and advice is provided to students. The team is responsible for operationalising the University’s strategic goals in Student Mobility, managing inbound and outbound Student Exchange and Study Abroad programs, as well as liaising, together with Global Engagement Managers, with key stakeholders in international sponsorship agencies and supporting their students.
About the opportunity
- Provide administrative support to the Global Learning team
- Assist in arranging student support/engagement activities, including Pre-departure and Re-entry programs.
- Support the team in providing information to students, faculties, partner institutions and answer enquirers about eligibility, credit requirements, financial requirements, financial support, application procedures, safety and security, and other related issues to student mobility.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency.
- Considerable relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level.
- Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email.
- Well-developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team.
