Make a meaningful impact supporting healthcare education across regional and rural WA. Join a collaborative university finance team delivering high-quality, end-to-end financial and staff resource support. Part-time (0.6 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis until 31/12/2026. Funding is expected to run through to 2031, potentially extending the duration of this role. Base salary range: $83,212 – $92,231 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

Finance supports the mission of the University by providing a high quality, end-to-end, flexible and responsive financial management and advisory service including provision of corporate financial and staffing services. The University’s professional service delivery model was created to deliver effective and efficient end-to-end services across the whole University. The model includes all core services of the University and creates functionally aligned services delivered through Service Delivery Centres. The Financial and Staff Resources teams in the Service Delivery Centres provide high quality, responsive support to University clients for human resources processing and financial services.

The Rural Clinical School teaches rural medicine and conducts primary healthcare research in remote and rural locations throughout Western Australia.

About the opportunity

  • Provide high-level financial and staff resource processing, advice, and support to RCSWA under general supervision.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment handling complex financial and HR-related transactions with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, workflows, and service delivery across finance and staff resourcing activities.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, or HR administration.
  • Demonstrated experience in high-volume financial or staff resource processing within a complex organisation.
  • Strong analytical, numeracy, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to change, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
