Temporary (Up to August 2027) full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity, Office location based in Blue Mountains Botanic Garden – Mount Tomah with flexible working supported. Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $102,936 to $113,579 + super.

Join Botanic Gardens of Sydney and play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the Finance, Property and Corporate Services team. In this role, you'll provide a broad range of finance and administrative support, helping to coordinate procurement processes, manage records, maintain business systems and contribute to efficient business operations across one of NSW’s most iconic organisations.

You’ll work across a variety of tasks, from financial transactions and reporting support to document management and stakeholder coordination. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying organised, managing competing priorities and finding ways to improve processes while delivering high-quality support in a busy and collaborative environment.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Experience providing administrative, business support or finance support services in a busy office environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Sound administration and financial processing skills, including experience with purchase orders, procurement processes, reconciliations, records management or similar business support activities.
  • Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to provide responsive and professional support to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records, systems and documentation.
  • Experience using business systems, financial systems and technology to improve efficiency and support operational outcomes.
  • A customer-focused and collaborative approach, with the ability to build positive working relationships and contribute to team success.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and adapt to changing workloads while maintaining quality outcomes.
  • A proactive mindset, with the confidence to identify improvements, solve problems and take accountability for delivering results.
  • Understanding of financial processes, compliance requirements and value-for-money principles would be highly regarded.

What is an essential requirement:

  • Valid Australian driver licence and ability to travel between sites.
